A sick boy :(.
Every time Harrison gets sick...I somehow feel it's my fault. As if I didn't disinfect something enough or whatever it may be. I know what you are thinking..."Babies get sick period," and yes I have heard that more times than I can count.
Since Wednesday Harrison has been sneezing like crazy and had a runny nose by Thursday and a full blown cold by Friday. (Let's hope this Saturday begins the up hill climb to a healthy baby again).
The past few nights have been marked by restlessness, fussiness, tears and puke. It seems that every time Harrison gets a cold...more food ends up coming back out than actually stays in. Whether it's the drainage in his throat or a sensitive stomach...we are not certain.
Last night he went to bed at 5:30 pm. I heard him a few times last night rustling around in his crib and then he put himself back to sleep until 5:45 am this morning. This is by far the longest he has ever slept. (I can't tell you how many times I checked on him to see if he was still breathing). I hate this feeling...absolutely hate it...and I am especially panicky about this because Harrison is rolling himself on his stomach at night. Despite his ability to roll this is frightening! (And Harrison not knowing how to coordinate breathing in and out of his mouth with a congested nose makes this matter all the more scary).
Everything I have read thus far says a baby should be put on his back until the age of 1 to prevent SIDS. This would work in a perfect world if he stayed in the same place! Totally not the story. So I continue to be this freak-out mom.
Harrison---I will be reading you this post (as I read every post to you)... I have some words of advice for you... "Stop freaking out mommy and daddy, we have had enough practice with a sick baby." (And...feel better so we can go to Mr. Henry's birthday party tomorrow)!

Small But Mighty!
Happy 8 incredible months to our baby boy!
If I could only put into words how much life has changed the past 8 months and how this little boy brings so much joy to each and everyday. It's sometimes hard to accept the fact Harrison is growing up so fast, but at the same time life just keeps getting better as each month passes.
In the past month Harrison's greatest accomplishment was learning how to sit. Honestly I am still amazed everyday how this once tiny baby defined so many odds and is where he is today. Sometimes I think that maybe I think too much about his past...but then again it just makes me truly appreciate his accomplishments.
I can't wait to see what he accomplishes this next month!
In general Harrison is doing well all around...and hopefully the doctor will agree at our upcoming appointment next month. I am excited to have his growth measured...Lately he has been a sprouting weed! With his rapid growth he can now sport the cute character (12 month) tees that I have been longing him to wear! If Harrison's growth is what it is expected to be at his doctor appointment, we can finally D/C his super baby formula! This will certainly save some money in our pockets!
At this time we are continuing to work with Birth to 3 with Harrison. He is making progress as sitting was definitely a milestone we were working towards. Currently rolling is on our agenda. Harrison has the ability to roll...but chooses not to. As one of team members said, "He (Harrison) is too relaxed..." What this just means is that Harrison is too content with the positions we put him in (or he puts himself in) that he chooses not to roll, but rather just "hang" out there. (I am not going to protest having a content baby).
During the last month I have had a wake up call and noticed just how fast time has been moving. I wish there was a magic button to add even just 10 minutes to the day. This is a hard realization that I am missing so much time with Harrison. By the time I get home, make/feed dinner, bath and play with Harrison is already 9:00 at the very earliest! I couldn't be more thankful for the Fridays that I don't work and get to spend with him...I consider those Mommy make up days
This is all I have for now...Stay tuned for more updates and more photo updates!
Here latest photos....
Check back for more updaates!

Little Man Is Growing Up!
WHAT???
No photo with this update?
BUT....
I haven't updated the blog word wise for quite sometime...but I am sneaking in sometime tonight otherwise his 8 Month update will be as thick as a bible!
What's Harrison up to these days?
-Continues to love to watch/play with his furry siblings
-Can sit by himself
-Drink out of a sippy cup
-Roll from his back to his tummy
-Starting to take steps forward when holding your hands
-Gobbles up fruit and most veggies (minus the green ones) and still protests eating cereal
-Sticks out his tongue and spits---thinking this may be the coolest thing ever
-Can swing at the park in an infant swing
-Starting to get stranger anxiety/fear
-Sleeps on his side at night
-Anything & everything ends up in his mouth
-Not teething yet, but we are drowning in drool
-Still wears size 2 diapers and 3-6 month size clothing
-Drinks 4, 6 ounce bottles a day
-Poops up his back at least 3 times a week (maybe that was too much info, but relevant)
-Never ends up in the same place in his crib where you layed him down that night
-Loves playing in his Froggy Exersaucer
-Can go for strolls in the stroller facing forward (good bye carseat---big boy coming through)
-He has become attached to burp clothes as opposed to blankets and cuddles up with them to help him sooth himself
-Continues to be a fan of his own feet (which are in his mouth more than not :) ! )
-Starts each morning between 6-6:30 am and ends the day between 9 and 10 pm.
-Takes two, two hour long naps a day
-Absolutely loves to be sang to as well as talked to in a whispering voice.
-Starting to throw (whip) things around
-He is very eaisley distracted by everything
-Can be carried on your hip
-He snores and signs in sleep like it's going out of style
-He prefers to assist with turning pages of books, which despite his efforts is less than helpful!
-Continues to sport his bald noggin and big blue eyes
-Loves the camera (imagine that)
-Is a happy boy!
This just skims the surface of updates...
I heart these 7 months.

Tiny Miracles By Amanda Kelley
I started snapping pictures like crazy 7 months ago... (just as Harrison arrived).
Never did I ever guess a passion for photography would explode to where it is today. I found myself happily taking photos and never once gave thought of making something more of it. But somewhere a long the road, something changed... Soon enough almost every evening I was taking photos... The more photos I took the more my creativity emerged.
I would like to share my Photography fan page with you. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Winona-MN/Tiny-Miracles-by-Amanda-Kelley/133064563399243?ref=ts#!/photo.php?pid=168237&id=133064563399243 This is where I have posted some of my best shots. In the coming weeks you will be able to follow Tiny Miracles Blog...and hopefully in the near future Tiny Miracles will have a website of it's own.
And...Keep following Our Miracle Blog with Baby Harrison. After all, he is my greatest inspiration (hence the name Tiny Miracles) to go out on a limb and do this. I have many much needed updates to add. Check back soon for Harrison's progress report. He just makes us smile!

My first sipster!
Yes, this is what you think it is...a sippy cup or to be technical a sipster. At this time we are offering Harrison just about everything to see how he handles all of these new big boy tasks.
"Mommy, what am I supposed to do with this thing?"
So...how did he do with his first experience with the sipster? I will give him and E for effort. Harrison does a good job pulling it to his mouth and tipping it up...but can't quite yet grasp the fact he needs to suck (like a straw) rather than a bottle. Though he found the sipster to be a quite fun as it was a good teething toy and fun object to bang on the high chair. With practice he will catch on quickly I propose.
"I think I get this..."
"Mommy, what am I supposed to do with this thing?"
"I think I get this..."
"OK...no milk?" "What is this?"
I am DONE!
Besides tackling the sipster...Harrison also has some big news to share...
Are you ready?
Are you sure?
Really sure?
Because I want to make sure?
That you are truly sure...
FOR REAL?
Ok.
Enough with the anticipation...
Sit.
No...I am not telling Whitney Dog to sit...
Harrison sit.
Yes...Harrison is S-I-T-T-I-N-G!!!
This is so exciting!!! Harrison is far from perfecting his sitting skills, but his continued progress is simply amazing...One day he couldn't sit and the next--"Watch out world, here he comes!" This is also so promising that Harrison is playing real CATCH UP! The physician told us at our last appointment in June that he didn't expect Harrison to sit until he is 7 months corrected age (which would have been September). I am so proud of this little guy! When I dropped him off at daycare this morning I waved goodbye and I could have started to bawl when I saw our miracle baby sitting so tall and strong. Harrison if you only knew how make sunshine in our lives each and everyday! (Photos to come...I promise!)

Little Aviator
Today Harrison experienced his first air show. If I could re-create the excitement that Harrison had at today's event I would (such a happy, smiling & laughing boy).
The only thing that dampened our fun was a little shower from mother nature that cut the show short. Despite the rain we managed to get some pretty cute photos!

Checking out the plane with daddy!
"Daddy...I am ready to fly!"
